Welp, the good news is that we can get very playable framerates at 4K with ultra settings on pretty much any (decently optimized game).  The bad news: it'll set you back about $2400--and that's just for the GPUs.

damn, impressive benchmarks. i'll personally would pick 1440p over 4k for gaming :P $2400 is a lil' too much just to get decent frame rates for 4k imho.

You might want to change that, it took me a sec to figure out that you meant $2400 in just graphics cards, not for a whole system :P

 

Also, typo in the 3DMark chart.

Yeah, I will be waiting for a single sub $600 GPU that can get these kinds of framerates before I invest into a 4k monitor.
