Idk I'm tempted to go for the 6500 and with the $60 price difference get a good mouse and keyboard or some speakers jajaj.

Yeah I think the i5-6500 and cheaper motherboard is better value for money, and good peripherals are important.

ok, so I am planning on building this PC http://pcpartpicker.com/list/xNZXf8 . I just want it to run casual games like minecraft, CSGO, and league of legends. How will the hd 530 graphics hold up. and can i just add a graphics card like the rx 480 later down the line?

Get a 6600 (cpu) and better PSU, something 80+ Gold will be pretty good quality if you're not overclocking. That and a 480 should fit nicely down the line.

My rig: Intel Core i7-8700K OC 4.8 | NZXT Kraken X62 | ASUS Z370-F | 16 GB Trident Z RGB 3000 (2x8) | EVGA 1070 SC | EVGA SuperNova NEX650G1 | NZXT H700 | Samsung 250GB 850-EVO | 2x 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDDs

Yeah the 480 will hold nicely down the line, not sure about lol but 530 should be fine. Just dont expect it to run on max settings atleast on the 530

Do you mean an I5 6600? If so why downgrade? and why do you suggest a better PSU.

Well the i5 because games won't use multiple cores so the hyperthreading will be useless as far as you'll be conserned.

As far as the PSU, witness:

The HD 530 will do just fine for lower settings (LoL maybe even at full), but I would get an SSD now (it'll fit menicraft, CSGO, and LoL with at least 180GB to spare), then later when you get the GPU grab a hard drive to store files on. Also the i5 since the difference will be small on games even on a RX 480. Grab a dual channel kit because it will perform better with the 530 graphics.

The better PSU will last considerably longer compared to the EVGA 500W, and it's only 8 bucks more so I throw it in for everyone that can afford it.

The i5 is because you won't notice any difference gaming on the HD graphics getting a i7. Even on a RX 480 it will be little.

that i7 if very powerful for what your doing id suggest an i5 or the i3 if thats all you plan to do with this rig, throwing $300+ on that cpu for just minecraft, lol, and CSGO is way overkill. Here's a good rule to go bye i3 for Casual games, HTPC and internet surfing, i5 for competitive gaming and light editing, i7 for heavy render, editing and 3D type of work.

even if you can't afford it, right now the seasonic s12ii 430b is $40 and the rx 480 doesn't need a 500w psu. so OP, don't get the 500b.

Since the Integra M has only 1 6+2 the 600B is also an OK choice that can be upgraded to a 200W+ (2 connector) GPU

The S12II 430 isn't amazing. It's good, but it's a bit upnderpowered for my liking.

Is the power supply better? and will it hold a RX 480 later when I add one? Also i see you changed the Cpu cooler, why?

It will run a RX 480, although the better option is this one http://pcpartpicker.com/product/FQ648d/corsair-power-supply-cp9020101na

Or the EVGA 600B, but that one's ugly and only has 3-year warranty whereas the Corsair has 5-years. Take your pick.

I changed the CPU cooler because if you won't overclock, a cheaper one that still does a good job keeping a stock CPU cool is just fine and paying more isn't worth it.

If you want to keep the CPU cooler for a future where you'll OC, take this.

Between the 2 coolers, they're basically the same so take the cheaper.

Actually on the 16GB bit, the better option would be to switch the motherboard to one with 4 RAM slots, then get 2x4GB and if you need more later, use the free slots to get more.

alright so that's the complete build. (apart from the graphics card that i will add later on ). can you overclock the 6500 or does it have to have a " k ". like the 6700k you know? also if i add an rx480 will it all fit in the v21 case?

You can OC the 6500 but you need a Z170 motherboard and a custom BIOS (not recommended for beginners, if this is your first time grab a i5-6600K and Z170 mobo). If OC is what you want, grab the themis cooler I linked.

The RX 480 will fit in the Z21 case as long as it's not 350mm long, so pretty much every RX 480.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Performance looks like it's accurate. Since you're on Z170, it's worth upgrading the RAM speed and the cooler. Faster RAM will help especially with the integrated graphics.

That's a solid SSD choice. It's not superfast but it's got high endurance for its class
