I wonder what performance they will get compared a 970?

Considering they are probably about $50 to $80 cheaper

about 15% worse then a 970 is my bet, but they could be pretty good as a replacement for the 750 TI

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

But, the price difference is going to be more than 15%.

Plus, you could probably get some half decent overclocks out of them

There's an update on the bottom of the main post.

Anyway, I saw a big megathread about it earlier by @dexxterlab97 but I have zero idea where it's gone now...

So now RX 460 and RX 470 from AMD finally have a competition. The price is comparable too. I can't wait to upgrade my currently outdated GTX 760 that can not run games maxed out at 30fps +

Mark your calendars people, October 25 will be exciting well at least for me

Not too slow for casual 1080p. Well, no more builds with only RX 460 because we have Nvidia 1050 at similar price.

I look at this as a GPU for getting an older system up to running newer games at low cost and forget getting VR

This might be good for my current project, but I do not want to wait

I will see what my current PSU has available
