The 480 is just as good if not better in DX12 titles and blows the 1060 out of the water in Vulkan. I would recommend the 8gb 480 in this instance.

The 3GB 1060 is not better in any way actually imho. A cut-down core with less CUDA cores among other things and 3GB of VRAM make this card not worth getting.

Improve case airflow, adjust the fan curve so it's more silent - things I can recommend.

Either sell your Reference and buy an after market cooler RX480 or adjust the fan profile so its not as loud, but you could potentially run into thermal throttling issues then.

You can sell it on ebay, or your local ads website from whichever country you are from. Since stock is crazy low you may actually be able to make a profit on the sale as well if you choose to go that route.

you should have bought a GTX 1060 6GB but now it's too late, and the 3GB card is not worth it.

you will loose a lot of money trying to re-sell the card you have,..do what @Morgan MLGman suggested and try to improve your case airflow and adjust your fancurve and let the bitch run hot for more silence.

well...if you run your case fans at full speed it's got to be pretty loud huh?!

are you sure the noise is coming from the graphics card and not your case fans running at full speed?
