Disclaimer: I am not making claims on what anyone is doing. I am just stating whats in the video. 

 

So this Youtube Channel "Honor The Call" gained multiple subscribers uncovering the CSLotto gambling ring with TMartin and Pro Syndicate and now he has been reporting on Unbox Therapy and Dbrand running giveaways to gain subscribers and one of the grand prizes was given out to someone close to Dbrand ($80,000). 

 

I understand Dbrand is a big sponsor of LTT and was just wondering what you guys thought. 

 

Again I am not here to flame Dbrand. Its just something interesting to see come to light.

Yeah the truck giveaway was a bunch of empty boxes. He made some dumb excuse to cover it and now is doing a much smaller one with a large partner to pay for it.

They always announce the giveaways at the end of a video (often after the sponsor spot). They don't always announce the winners in Video form though.

The problem is when people just randomly search YT for giveaways. But considering the fact that the Forum has around ~330,000 members (incl. no doubt hundreds or even thousands of inactive accounts). LTT has ~2 Million subscribers, and videos get an average of 500,000+ views. That means there are literally over ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND LTT fans that don't use the forums.

 

Simply put, @SamStrecker, we're out numbered. The odds are against us. BUT, the odds are also against a random Giveaway hunter winning too.

Its a common scam countless companies, charities and NGO do. Giving away products or cash to friends or acquaintances of said entities.

There is a automotive auction in my city, that gives away $1,000 every Saturday. They got the balls, atleast at one point (not sure anymore as its been years since I checked), to list the winners of the $1,000 prize. You had to buy a vehicle to enter to win. Anyway, one name kept popping up week after week with a few sprinkles, of more then likely a fake name. I found it suspicious instantly when I saw the same name pop up. But dealers do go to that auction. Everytime I went I saw the same handful of people week after week. In their marketing ads and online website they mention this $1,000 give-away. The auction company was not the brightest listing the names, but perhaps they have to by law. Not sure what the law states on that, or how its checked by government. I doubt it is. Its a slick scam for sure!

 

Probably many loop-holes in the law in that area.

Everybody wants to win. It sucks when you lose. But when someone with 1 post count wins, I don't immediately assume this is a viewer who isn't an LTT fan.

 

I assume they are an LTT fan who sticks to YouTube. You know, like the majority of his fans do.

 

We forum users are the small (Seriously, we make up like 1/6th of the total LTT fanbase) minority of LTT fans. It doesn't feel like it, since we're active all the time, and we often discuss things that happen in LMG videos, but we only make up about 16.5% of the LTT viewers.

To be fair, Trump has been a Clinton (Both Bill and Hillary) supporter and fan for several decades. It wasn't until maybe 3-4 years ago that he started doing anything strictly republican.

 

However, I don't believe there's some big Conspiracy. I simply think we all know that big money and big business change hands a lot of politics.

 

Now with that in mind, even if it was a coincidence, any Legal contest/lottery would immediately disqualify you if you work for the company holding the context, or you are a family member of such a person, or a business partner with the company in question.

 

For example: Best Buy holds a contest to give away a 60". The CEO of Best Buy cannot win that contest. Nor can his wife, his kids, or even his Groundskeeper/gardener/landscaper.

to be crudely honest with you, i feel like if this is somehow planned ahead of time, it wasnt dbrand plotting it, but the youtubers using it as something to buy them into the idea. every time i watch UT i somehow REALLY get the vibe that he's paid to say everything he says, however much i try, it just does not feel real...

I can't really say. I never found Unbox Therapy an interesting channel to begin with.
