Finding the new 'Perfect' Gaming/CS:GO Mouse?

So I currently have the DeathAdder 2013, it's a bit fallen apart and rubbers etc fell off and lost. I have enjoyed my time with this mouse but I'm looking for a new mouse I don't want to just get another Deathadder chroma. I have gathered a bit of the list of the mouse I'm looking at. If you have any questions to ask me to help me find my perfect mouse please do ask away. For a bit of basic information my main game is cs:go/fps games I play 400 or 800 dpi and 1.8 sens and 4/3 in windows so mainly low sense.

Zowie is often regarded as the best mouse, especially for csgo, but I think the best overall g502.

Yes, I've heard so many good things about Zowie but seems a bit plain/featureless. I put G502 as 1: since that's the one I'm looking at most the 2 things that are putting me off is the weight as it is considerably heavier than the DeathAdder even when it has like 0 weights in and the other thing is the thumb rest/the bit that sticks out on the left that is putting me off. Will it get in my way? What mouse do you have, what games do you play and what are your opinions on your mouse?

I doubt the thumbrest would get in your way. 

 

I use both the G502 and the Naos 7000 and enjoy using both of them.

I have the g502, the weights make a noticeable difference if you go all or nothing, but im most accurate with about 3/5 of he weights. I mostly play FPS games around 200dpi for dat precision. Make sure you spend the $11 and get a nice mousepad like a corsair mm200 or qck, and the normal size, not the big or the small ones, it actually makes a difference.

How is the naos? I've thought about getting one for the pinky rest, but I'm not sure how the sensor and software compares to the g502, which the g502 excels in.

I don't think it tracks any worse than the G502. But I don't prefer either the G502 or the Naos 7000. I also got it for the pinky rest, and sometimes I'm in the mood for it and other times I'm not....so

Ah right. You ever tried any other mouses before you got to the DeathAdder Chroma or you went straight from an old deathadder to the new one?

Ok. Cool. I have a steelseries keyboard and mouse pad. It's massive lol.

I have a G502 at school and a Naos 7000 at home, so I use the G502 more but that's just because I'm at school more and I'm too lazy to switch which one is where. I honesty like each one differently and it depends entirely on my mood as to which I would prefer using. I've played CSGO on both.

That design is a little flat for my tastes, the g502 is much better (imo) because of its height which is better for palm grips which (again, imo) is the most comfortable and relaxed grip for a mouse. If the mouse is too short, your hand kinda spills off the sides or your thumb and pinky will drag on your mouse pad which is really annoying.

I'm currently using the Zowie EC2-A and it's the best mouse I've ever used (for CS:GO at least). I've also had a Logitech G502 and a Razer DeathAdder Chroma, the G502 was way too heavy even without the weights and the Chroma was too big for my hands. Sure there's a couple of drawbacks if you get an EC2-A as you'll have to give up on RGB, decent scroll wheel / side buttons but other than that it's great. The sensor is top notch, mouse is lightweight and the cable is soft rubber so the mouse cable doesn't drag as much on your mousepad. You also get an extra set of mouse feet in the box. If you're still undecided, I'd check Rocket Jump Ninja's YouTube channel, he does in-depth reviews on mice and other peripherals.

 

PS: Zowie's mouse bungee, the Camade, is amazing. It's expensive but it is quality stuff.

I've had a G502.

It's not for competitive FPS, it's simply too heavy no matter what and other mice will simply outperform it in this regard.

By that logic anything over 800x600 isnt for competitive FPS either.... 

 

Personal preference goes a long way and wild generalizations ten to be wildly inaccurate.

No, that's not how this works, that logic has nothing to do with this and I don't even understand the connection you're attempting to create.

You can be competitive with any resolution, provided it isn't wrecking your framerate.

Lighter mice are factually better for aiming, there's less inertia and they can be maneuvered and flicked faster. There's no "wild generalizations" here.

 

Just because someone has a preference for something worse for the job doesn't mean it's better just because they find it more comfortable to hold or whatever...

Except by definition the "better" thing is the thing that someone performs better with. There is no one mouse. There is no one advantageous ergonomic setup. And the resolution comparison makes perfect sense....why do you think a lot of professionals who play CSGO play at 800x600? It's not because the game looks nicer or because they don't have the horsepower to run the games faster..... It's because they have a PERSONAL preference towards one resolution vs. another that they believe gives them a competitive edge.

There's no reason that 800x600 is worse though. It doesn't give you a disadvantage, if anything lower res gives higher framerates.

4:3 makes it so you don't miss anything in peripheral vision.

There are actual reasons heavier mice are worse, ideally you would want a mouse to feel as if you were aiming with nothing but the weight of your hand.

If you're used to something heavier and worse and that means you're going to perform worse for a while with something lighter for a while until you adjust, that doesn't mean the lighter thing is worse.

 

That's like saying someone should just play CSGO with a Xbox Controller if they've never played an FPS with keyboard and mouse before, it's not their preference and they aren't used to it yet so the console controller is better for them. No.

 

You should be used to the weight of your own hand, if you're overshooting and slapping yourself in the face when you go to scratch your face constantly in real life you may have a bigger problem. The weight of a mouse just adds to the weight of your hand, the heavier, the longer it takes to stop moving in one direction and start going in another.

There's no advantage to a heavier mouse, and "I'm used to it already" doesn't mean it's better.

"I'm used to it already" isn't valid as a reason to recommend it to someone who isn't used to heavy mice already, they may as well start off with something superior so they don't have to deal with a phase of readjusting.

 

Also unless someone has issues, it shouldn't take long at all to adjust from a 121g mouse to a 80-90g mouse. Takes like a day or two max.

Not everything is designed for the same purpose.

The G502 and mice of its weight are not designed for competitive FPS. They're ergonomic comfort mice for people not looking to sacrifice everything for the sake of performance.

They aren't marketed or designed for competitive FPS nor are they used by anybody who plays at a competitive level.

 

That's the actual reason we have variety.

That's the actual reason professionals use lighter mice, and why Logitech and Zowie and Razer and everyone else in the worlds FPS orientated mice are lightweight.

I just find it funny how someones inability of being able to use a factually superior product means that it's worse.

Maybe for your particular scenario, but not in reality with someone capable of using both products efficiently.

 

Anyone good at fps could do well with any mouse you provide them, even if it's garbage or not the best for the scenario.

I could fill my mouse with lead and still play with it, that's not an improvement though... Filling it with helium would be.

G502. A mouse doesn't make you good at a game. You just don't want a cheap mouse that is inaccurate or uncomfortable. Just practicing and finding the right sensitivity is more important.

A mouse doesn't make you good but it can limit your potential. 

The Logitech G303 and Pro G are both better than the G502 because of their weight, as are all Zowie mice and some offerings from Razer and Steel Series and others.

Don't get a tank of a mouse for fps if you want to be your absolute possible best...

 

OP is asking for the PERFECT CSGO mouse, the G502 is DEFINITELY not even in the consideration list for this purpose.

Now if they were looking for comfort and ergonomics for long time use and not specifically super competitive multiplayer shooters it would be worth mentioning.

 

If you don't believe me, just listen to Logitech, they understand their mice and what they were designed for as well, unsurprisingly.

Also, this topic again is asking for the perfect CSGO mouse. If the G502 was the perfect CSGO mouse, I think at least 1 professional CSGO player would be using it if it was the fucking best....

These forums recommend the G502 for everything, is it the best MOBA mouse too? Is anyone recommending it for any reason other than it's what they're currently using? So tiring.

 

I think I'm just going to stay out of the peripherals section of this site since nobody understands what they're talking about and just blindly recommend whatever they have, regardless of the use OP's are looking for. 

 

"Oh you want the best wireless MOBA mouse? Well the G502 isn't that at all and it's great and perfect for my needs and therefore yours too even though they're completely different, it's also not even wireless and has only 2 side buttons, 10/10"

You should post here more often, I wish I could give you more informative points for being the only correct post in this topic.

Only 4 posts and more useful than anyone else in here.

Rocket Jump Ninja is good, everyone should check him out if they're looking for a competitive FPS mouse.

Steelseries Rival 300, IMO. At this point its basically down to personal preference in a esthetic and shape, and the Rival fits my hand really well.
