850 evo 500 gig may be better option.

Is there a point in going with WD Black over WD Blue? are you expecting a difference?

PSU you will not need more than that (even 650 Watt you'd still be fine)

Not bad.... that will be similar performance to my PC when its done :D

and that PSU if u plan to have two GPU's should be enough but lets just say an RX480 at 100% on Aida 64 uses 350w+ and two of them OH GOD

Get the Noctua NH-D15, NH-D14 is last generation.

If you can get higher frequency RAM if it doesn't cost too much more.

Samsung 840 Pro is also outdated, get an 850 Pro or a M.2 950 Pro.

I'd personally recommend an MSI or EVGA 1080 but Asus is okay.

That's about all that needs changing IMO

Not bad. PSU is overkill. Just use a wd blue drive instead of the black. If you want faster performance for storage I would get a ssd.

Why would they get a Blue instead, and they already have an SSD.

Instead of the black HDD. If you want faster performance(for some reason idk why) go with an ssd.

... what reason is there to get the blue instead of the black?

They already listed an SSD in their build...

Blues are cheaper.

That's not a good reason to get something over something else but whatever, somebody else was actually capable of reading what I said and gave an informative answer.

I'm looking for a 2tb drive. I couldn't find any that are 7200. Only 5400. Can anyone confirm?

I don't think Black is more important, I have a Blue.

I was just wondering if there was any point at all besides being cheaper.

Blue is fine, I was just curious, wasn't saying either was better than the other.

Hey there AuxiliusM :)

A few words on the WD Black vs WD Blue topic here:

- WD Blue is a great storage drive designed for simple computing and basic storage but it can handle pretty much you throw at it. If you aren't planning anything storage-intensive I'd go with it.

- WD Black has a longer warranty, better overall performance and better ability to multitask compared to WD Blue. It has a built-in dual-core chip that manages caching processes better and thus provide better performance during multitasking. It is designed for heavier and longer workloads and should serve you better if you are doing rather storage-intensive things on your build.

It's really up to you to pick between the two. :) Let me know if you need more info on these drives!

WD Black is more optimized for continue operation and faster response times for heavy work loads and ofc gaming.

Blue sacrifices that for a cheaper option with less power drain.

If he's placing the steam lib and if he can afford the few extra cost Black is a better option overall.

A BeQuiet cooler would look nicer than the Noctua as you have a windowed case (Unless you like Beige :D). They are a bit more fiddly to install, but they perform just as good. Another good alternative is Cryorig.
