how much can i sell this Quadro GPU?

glitchmaster0001

Hi so this year my school is throwing out old workstations, computers, and servers in the edump and i went dumpster diving... i managed to pull a Nvidia Quadro FX 5800 4GB card from a old HP workstation and i was wondering how much can i sell it for? i plugged this card into my PC to see if it works or not and to my surprise it works. so how much do you think i can sell this card? i think that 4GB VRAM is a behemoth for an old card like this so it has to worth something... it aint a 8800gt potato either. thanks guys

Wow!...Alright, so. A reasonable price is somewhere between $175 - 200 that's where most people bite.

i see stupidly high prices on ebay and amazon( between 1000 and 3000) bu also between 100 and 350, a reasonable thing to do would be either 150-170 depending on the day you sell it, or use it as a overprices piece of walldecoration

Sounds alright. The best way to find a good price is to go to EBay or another site and have a look at the prices. If you go a little cheaper you are definitely going to get a quick sale.

15 times slower...IMHO this card is worth 10 or 20$ at best.

but im worried that there isnt a demand for these cards so it would take a while to sell.

but the special drivers are designed to do CAD, autodesk, and MAYA. quadros are always slower than their geforce counterparts. they make up for it by being specially built and heavily optimized for workstation purposes.

well if you want ''realy fast'' money sell it for like 50-60 on craigslist ebay and whatsoever ( dont know if there is a market for old quadro cards though), there will always be someone for an item at the right price, even if it takes a wile to find that person

It's an extremely poor card. With 240 Cuda cores, it can't even keep up with a GTX 950. Also, it should have a TDP just shy of 200W. It also uses GDDR3 memory, and can barely transfer 100GB/s.

The only reason you can fetch anything above 50USD, is if you find someone with no clue regarding the Quadro lineup, and won't realize it's from the GTX 200 generation.

Motherboard: Asus X570-E
CPU: 3900x 4.3GHZ

Memory: G.skill Trident GTZR 3200mhz cl14

GPU: AMD RX 570

SSD1: Corsair MP510 1TB

SSD2: Samsung MX500 500GB

PSU: Corsair AX860i Platinum
