GIGABYTE GTX 1060 Windforce OC 6GB @ $349(CAD) VS MSI RX 470 Gaming X Twin Frozr 4GB @ $289(CAD)

fueg
Go to solution Solved by AresKrieger,

That 470 price translates into over 200 USD when a 4GB 480 should cost around that, where as the 1060 you listed is 260ish USD which is a normal retail price for it, so 1060

I need to choose between these 2 cards. I can afford either ones.

There's the GTX 1060 OC 6GB by Gigabyte (not the G1 Gaming)

or

the MSI RX 470 Gaming X 4GB

The RX 470 is $60 CAD cheaper...

I will play games like :

Mirror's Edge Catalyst

Rise of the Tomb Raider

GTA V

No Man's Sky

...

What do you think is the best choice?

The msi ones are overpriced as hell check out sapphire and xfx, they could be 15-25$ cheaper

Let's agree to disagree

@MrTiC

I've been waiting almost 3 month to buy a video card, at first because the new models were coming out, the because everything was back order or too expensive... >:(

I don't want to wait much longer so I decided to go for the best available card I can afford. I initially planned to spend about $300CAD on my card but I raised my budget to a maximum of $400CAD. Even then the choice is poor! The previous gen cards prices have not dropped much and the new gen cards are back order!

At first I wanted to go with the 4GB 480 but could not find anything here... Since I was able to afford it I bought the 1060, should receive it next week, I am sure I wont regret it!
