1060 = 980 > 480

however the 1060 will get even better over time and the 480 will do well in dx12

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

This post has by far not enough details. Which resolution? Which DX version? Etc Etc.

Also, there are litterally 100's of reviews out there, written and in video. Just use google with your demands.

1060 unless you're already invested in some DX12 titles out or coming soon. Given availability and such and so many games being better on it I'd say 1060.

I would have gone with a 1060 since it's better at DX12 Gaming.

The RX 480 will get better. It actually outperforms the 1060 in games that are using the Vulkan API (like Doom) and others that benefit from asynchronous computations, which more games are heading towards. The raw power of the 1060 won't hold out as long, although... as a single card solution as of now, current and previous games will see about a 10% improvement, in the future this will change.

Note that an RX 480 can be in Crossfire, while a GTX 1060 cannot be in SLI. (not technically... or in a way that's supported widely anyway)
