Tweaked the cascade shadow map and distance in The Witcher 3 ini file, it actually improved a bit the graphics quality. Gonna try on GTA 5 next if there is a way, will check that. Anyway very nice research indeed ElijahDar, that is something to work on. I'm not really anymore annoyed by this issue, since i'm playing DOOM and the TXAA is working like a charm.

hi so i have had this issue for a while now.

anything new?

was thinking of upgrading to 10 series ,does that help or issue persists ??

 

btw my issue is mostly white dots in most games ,witcher 3 ,farcry 4,rottr etc almost everything

I have been having the issue for a year or two. Researched online here and there but no solution found. Registered account just now to show my support to all fellas suffer with me, and hope we can find a solution soon so we can kick those dev ass.

I tried a MSI gtx 1080 it helped like ZERO.

 

Elijah figured out a way to fix the issue, hes working on it with iiNNex, hopefully we have a solution soon.

Interesting so I watched a trailer by Blizzard that was all in game footage and they had the problem too. I wonder if the dude on the Nvidia forum was right. By right I also mean no fix. 

 

Watch the shadows and small objects like ropes and window frames

Don't focus on the shadows as they are bad in each game but focus on the AA problem with the poppin gin jagged white edges

they dont have the problem.. it is our pc flopping with the video.. try to watch it in another player but not youtube and you see

well after searching i found some "maybe" solutions

 

1.Change the power box (idk what power box.. maybe psu or the power box in our house)

2.Plug your pc in different part of your house

oh my god i finished downloading witcher 3 on steam and i played it.. it look so different i want the 1.02 back wtf... it so sharp and wtf it looks like it was using some kind of reshade

Don't focus on the shadows as they are bad in each game but focus on the AA problem with the poppin gin jagged white edges

 

I have the problem on Darksiders. Using SGSSAA helps thought.

what... seems like i have a problem.. a diff problem.. it looks like problem is always next to me... my games i think is dark??? yeah i forgot what ds3 looks like and fo4 but.. and in witcher 3 i just updated it recently and it was so dark and when i put it to high sharpening it looks like im using reshade.. wtf

this is pure cancer... after buying witcher 3 with all dlcs i try to play blood and wine.. yeah the new update looks cool and make the graphics even more sharper than before thats why i think the anti aliasing option is useless.. i been to toussiant and wtf..... too many jagged edges and plain landscapes.. oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so many sharp grasses and that castle i think or city is shimmering whenever i move... it was like forcing to play gta v on n64... but sometimes when it is snow or raining or night it looks good...   anyway Elijah and iiNNex goodluck to both of them sadly i cant help but to say issues than solutions.. i will start messing up with hidden files in my pc maybe it is something connected to regedit or anything that have anything to do with graphics

"The only way to fix this is to find the way to flush the cache and unload a clean NvAPI into the cache. Now this also answers why this happens again when you insert new parts into the PC and that is because the drivers always keep the same buggy variant in their backup files and loads it into memory if its missing. It also works the other way, if you reinstall the drivers, it automatically reads the variants setting from the cache and make a copy of the variant. 

 

So the document claims that in order to fix it we have to unlock the resources and unload a variant (The red text) However I have no idea how to do that"

Now this also answers why this happens again when you insert new parts into the PC and that is because the drivers always keep the same buggy variant in their backup files and loads it into memory if its missing. It also works the other way, if you reinstall the drivers, it automatically reads the variants setting from the cache and make a copy of the variant. 

 

So the document claims that in order to fix it we have to unlock the resources and unload a variant (The red text) However I have no idea how to do that"
