12GB Ram? What motherboard are you going to be using?

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

The i5 is like 10% faster for about £40 more in price. Not worth it in my opinion, but if you have the money, why not?

I would personally get the 8350 and use that remaining money for a better part. What are your full specs?

  • 2 weeks later...

I would go with the Intel. if you can.

Why? The 8350 sounds fine.

i5 4670 k of course.  hardware noob would suggest FX 8350 becouse it has "8" cores but hey look at this benches linus did

he compared i5 3570k 4.2 ghz (4 core) to FX 8350 4.6 ghz (8 core) and i5 won. :D 4670k is 10 % better then 3570k so there is not vs between this processors i5 4670k is waaaaaay better then FX 8350 even max oced.

look difference is almost 20 fps in average imagen difference in max fps and min is 9 fps too. AMDs cpu are too week to compete with intels i5 4670k

i can not see video.

not 3670k it is 3570 k but look linuss video it is already better on 4.2 ghz then AMDs 8 core processor on 4.6 ghz so 4670 k will only be better not worse at least :)

that is bullshit. games that this AMD fanboy tested use 1-2 cores and you tell me that in 1-2 cores 8350 is better then 3570k, 3770k and 3820 (2011 socket) that is very very funny.

linus did better comparision in better games that utilize 4 or even 8 cores and here you go

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICVeN6WEGgg

you tell me not to trust linus and trust that AMD fanboy who tells that 8350 is better then 3770k even in single thread?

of course Intel is better choice. It's economical, it has better architecture, it has 22nm technology while amd still uses 32nm.

Linus is sponsored by intel as-well, not to say that it effected his results, but there's no proof it didn't either..

Both are perfectly capable cpu's, if you're on a budget the 8320/8350 is probably a better idea unless you can spend the extra 30-60$ (motherboards are a bit more as-well) OR if you live near a micro-center you can get in-store deals on 4670k's for 199.99

Are you honestly trying to start a fanboy war?

To OP, both CPU's are fine and perform better than each other in different situations. If you're looking to save money and want more graphics horsepower, go for the AMD and save that extra money on a better GPU.

The choice is ultimately up to you, you won't really find a definitive answer.

THE BEAST Motherboard: MSI B350 Tomahawk   CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700   GPU: Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X OC  RAM: 16GB G.Skill FlareX DDR4

STOP BEING A FANBOY. I've seen you on like 5 posts now, you've insulted AMD several times and always recommend Intel over the stupidest of reasons, Tek Syndicate has shown the 8350 beats all Intels besides the i7's and is comparable to the i5-4670K and even beats it half of the time. Don't pull bull and say "I can't see the video" you're just being ignorant and too scared to know you're wrong.

There are no games that use 8 cores yet...if there is, there's like 1 or 2. Tek Syndicate isn't a Fanboy nor is he sponsored by Intel like Linus, he simply gives you better options, if you'd watch the video Tek was SURPRISED at how well the 8350 does. The 8350 does get beaten by the i7 but performance wise it's the same as an i5.

So you wanna say, if Linus is sponsored by Intel it means his benchmarks ain't correct? Sorry, but it's you who sound like a fanboy actually. If you don't wanna see the truth that's your problem, but you can't change the fact, that i7 outperforms any AMD cpu, and that's FACT!!! Even i5 is better than that 8 core junk AMD!
