The easy option for a computer desk.

ttam

I just have a giant glass desk that I got for 25 bucks at a tag sale. (Came with a crappy chair too.) I have a little shelf thing under the middle part with my printer on it and a Ikea TV shelf thing under the other side of the desk.

(Older picture with the old screen that I have now replaced with a better one)

Just bought the gloss red one! It's going to match my PC perfectly! :D

You are brave, I have yet to venture away from the white and black desks.

Nice guide, but even the cheapest legs are somewhat adjustable - you can screw the bottom parts for a few centimeters at least to make them longer.

I also got one 2 years ago. I lined a whole wall with them at my old room at my parents house. I believe i have 2 2m sections ending in corner piece. Enough room to have my pc, tv, and room to draw and work on projects and cost me about 200 euros max? I only used regular legs on one of the ends of the long side and on the corner piece. In the other places i use one of those white cabinets with slides.

Got the same color tabletops and the same legs(except mine are black).

My younger brother just did the same - one of the 2 meter sections. He has white tops.

Ill try to get pictures soon :)

Fanatastic idea, definitely going to use this to "transform" my desk into something more useful.

I got one of these about a year ago (white, 2 meters) and found it to be really unstable. But in your pictures OP you have the drawers which i do not have. Do they make your desk more stable?. Because as i'm typing now my monitors are bouncing up and down.   :P

Even with the legs, it was sturdy. You have to have it on a level ground, and adjust the legs proper.

Nice setup! I modded my free desk. Pics in my gallery.

On another note...to further enrage the IPS crowd, on my 144Hz TN panel; GIFs look amazing. So fluid, the "forum chicken" moves flawlessly. Love it.

Another +1 for Ikea desks, there so quick and easy to build.

Here's mine,

Looks good man. Digging the white 600T. It's one of my favorite cases.

Is this the same as: http://www.ikea.com/nl/nl/catalog/products/S49932670/

How long can I expect these tables to last?

It's close. Not the same "series" but their tables will last for quite some time.

If you have a big enough space and you want lots of desk room. I would recommend this http://www.amazon.co.uk/National-Office-Furniture-Supplies-Cantilever/dp/B00CVZBYJS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390663505&sr=8-1&keywords=Straight+Office+Cantilever+Desk

I bought one myself and I am very satisfied with it. Very strong and very large.
