GTX 1070 stuggles with GTA V at best settings?

I have a 1070 and I aim to run at a locked 60fps at 1440p, but it definitely drops to mid 40s when I go offroad

grass quality is also taxing. setting it to normal is fine, though some of the more grassy areas might not be as dense. 

 

ok cause i "optimised" and ran the benchmark: solid 29 fps : P

In advanced settings make sure you only have long shadows on.
In other settings have them all on very high.
Shadows on softest.
Msaa off

That's what I use with my 1080 at 1440p and never dip below 70. Most of the time at 90+

1. There is no bottleneck  (this Nonsense is getting annoying) 

2. Advanced Settings and AA!! Use a ridiculous amount of ressources. Just turn them down, the game will still look good.

This actually makes sense.  Grass is the biggest FPS killer in the game -- my 1080 struggles with it as well.  Just drop that setting to high and you'll be good.

So I got a ryzen 5 1600 4ghz, 12 GB Ddr4, nvidia geforce 1070. What are the best settings for playing GTA5.  I'm running 3 monitor display surround at 3072 x 768 resolution.
