SYSTEM BUILDING(theory) CHALLENGE FOR LTT

Simple. Build the best all around system you can for under 1700USD.

Requirements:

Full standard computer(mobo/ram/cpu/psu/gpu/storage/case/cooling)

Monitor

Keyboard

Mouse

Don't skimp on things! If you pick a super sketchy PSU that's lame and I won't chose you :P

Whoever's rig I choose will be featured in an LTT video! The topic of which will remain a mysteryyy .. oooooo spooky.

Please list your sources - an easy way to do this is PC part picker but you def don't have to use that if you don't want to

Have fun, happy hunting!

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/yNGcqk here's my entry! ?

Who doesn't love black-white-gray builds?

As an added bonus, it can run Linux with ease!

Rationale: High CPU performance, with high to mid range GPU performance, packed into a smaller mid tower form factor. Red and Black theme with a very clean aesthetic and reliable components. For example: the mATX sized Z170MX-Gaming 5, as well as the 6700k paired with a very appealing set of G.Skill TridentZ memory. The GTX 970 is still a wonderful choice for a graphics card, but not the most expensive or powerful. This would be for a light gamer but also good for running the 144Hz 1080p screen and being able to utilize Cuda when editing videos and the like. Went for a 480GB SSD because people want more and more on their boot drive, and being under 30 cents per gigabyte it comes in handy. The WD Black 1 TB is a very reliable drive, providing lasting mass storage, with the ability to add more later on. All of this is packed into a Define Mini mATX which is a beautiful case, and relatively small for maybe someone that doesn't have a permanent living solution, or just not enough space for something outrageous.Threw in a WiFi card and Optical Drive because there are still those times when you might need something out of the ordinary. The wireless card would come in handy for someone who is on the move a lot. Mouse and keyboard are mostly personal preference, but Logitech makes some solid pieces of equipment, even if not everyone likes them. To top it all off, we have a H80i cooling the beast of a 6700k, keeping the computer cool alongside the Twin Frozr cooler on the 970.

If the OS isn't required I made a list without it, putting the extra cash toward a better power supply, keyboard, and higher capacity drives
