This is a legacy list. It is no longer being updated.

The new PSU Tier List can be found here:

And back on the "avoid to hell" list it goes.

Even if it was improved you still don't know exactly what revision of the B3 you're getting unless the retailer specifies the manufacturing year.  It's like the green cx all over.

I bought an EVGA BR as a throwaway (it was $10 at B&H after MiR).  Mainly I want to use it for a test bench so it's not going to be stressed too much.

I know not a lot is known about it but it's MSRP is $50 and is DC-DC, so I'd hope it may be at least on par with BQ/B3.

A 30°C temperature rating makes me doubt that.

Guys just quick question. I am currently cleaning my old pc, i5 2500k. During cleaning I noticed that I have Corsair TX850W in it. Would it be still ok to use with Ryzen 5 2600x? The model is CMPSU-850TXV2.

It's probably not using the same platform as the current one if you bought it with with the cpu at the time.  I would try to replace it for being old, but it probably would work just fine.

I think the Snow Silent is a little better but somebody else can confirm.  If the focus plus is cheaper I'd get it though.  Both good psus.

It's old and not that great by today's standards, but if it works then keep it. It's not a crap unit so it'll probably die a relatively peaceful death without taking out your hardware with it.

That's somewhat assuring.

My budget just got tight, prefer to put the money towards X370 Taichi and replace the psu in upcoming few weeks.

The old setup is I5-2500k, Asrock p67 extreme6 with gtx670.

From new one I just have a case,  want to sell current one to buy new parts, if I could get away with that corsair for a while would save me money for better board for Ryzen.

Well, I guess you can move forward with your plan, sure. You aren't gonna get a ton for your old system.

Im aware. More or less how much I could get?

- I5-2500k with nh-d14

- Asrock P67 Extreme6

- Evga GTX 2gb with accelero cooler

- 60gb ssd + 120gb ssd + 1tb wd

- antec 1200 with gentle typhoon 120 and nzxt sentry

Does the extra bits like better fans/controller change the price or would I be better mowing that to new build?

200 dollars maybe?

yes, you can add the extra bits if you like but you might get more money and more willing buyers if you individually part out.

You can use the NH-D14 with AM4 Boards, you just need to email Noctua and ask them nicely.

Though you have to provide proof that you have both the Heatsink and an AM4 Board.

Yeah, that is very nice of them.

And later this day I'm getting the AM4 Mounting sets for the NH-D14 and the NH-L9i.

But what makes me furious is that I forgot to ask about the fan clips for the NH-L12 *ARGH*
