1 - remount your cooler
2 - revert the BIOS to default settings
3 - what PSU
4 - never tinker with OCs again

Okay, add another thing to the list. Replace the fire cracker PSU before you get in the news for all the wrong reasons

OC = overclock.

It could be an unstable OC, or it could be Windows 10 being Windows 10.

There's this thing called DPC latency, and Windows 10 has a real problem with it.

It's been a problem on 3/4 machines I've installed in on so far, and I still haven't been able to track down the exact issue.

Powering your PC from a sack of potatoes is likely safer and more efficient. Get a decent unit before that one burns your house down....

It's a win 10 issue. My pc suffers from the same. It might have something to do with the shitfest that is Intel drivers. Make sure you have the newest drivers installed for your integrated soundcard and your Intel NIC. Make sure it uses those drivers and not the Microsoft Windows 10 drivers. Should improve things a bit.

This issue has nothing to do with the PSU. It's all about DSP lag in Windows 10.

And how do you know? It could have multiple causes. He could have a literal bug in his system for all we know.

Your PSU is a fire cracker regardless of your issues. It's a ticking time bomb. Your call whether you listen to us or not.

Because that exact issue is a very known issue in Windows 10. They changed certain things, that fucked up all drivers. And Intel making some of the worst drivers does not help.

Here's a thing: http://www.resplendence.com/latencymon

You can use that to check your latency. The average latency for most computers is between  0-200µs.

If there's a program throwing a ton of hardfaults, or process taking up a lot of execution time, then you can find your problems like that usually.

Well changing your drivers like I said is free and can be done right now. But you probably won't be able to fix the problem yourself, only diminish it. I still have the same issue. Hopefully the huge August windows 10 update/service pack will fix it. Or Intel kick the Indian slave children enough to write a useful driver for once.

If you torrent a lot, try lowering the number of connections.
