Motherboard/PCIE Question :)

I have a question about PCIE on motherboards

I want to do Crossfire. so yeah...

Q1. I see a motherboard that I want, but one of the Pcie 16x slots runs at 16x and another 16x slot runs at 4x If I put My gpus into those slots will the 4x slot run at 8x and the 16x slot run at 8x?? or will it be 8x and 4x or 12x and 4x???

It seem's like it would work fine, honestly even if the graphics card was at 8x or 4x it would probably be fine anyway.

SLI requires all GPU's to run at least PCI-E 3.0 x8, on an x16 electrical slot. So an x4 PCI-E 3.0 Slot would NOT work.

EDIT: Also keep in mind the motherboards you've linked are only Crossfire certified, not SLI certified.

I see that now, however I assumed since you have a GTX 960 atm that you were looking to put them in SLI (I used to have that config, it was pretty dope.).

If you install two cards, one will run at x16, another at x4. Getting a motherboard which supports x8 in the second slot is always good imo.
