First gaming PC for console gamer

ces160

Hi Al,

I was recently asked by a friend to plan out a small factor gaming PC.

 The budget is ~$2000 Australian $

 The requirements are as follows;

Small form factor, the area he has in his room is very limited, the PC needs to be as small as possible without sacrificing to much functionality or performance,

WiFi, there is no access to a wired network so the motherboard needs to have WiFi

Mass storage, as this is going to be a gaming PC, he needs some mass storage for a steam library.

This is what I have planned out so far:

 What do you guys think?

 Any suggestions are welcome (as long as they are justified).

Thanks

Changed to 6700 and aftermarket 1070. An i5 will bottleneck the 1070.

As everyone else said, I would also like to recommend i5 6600k version of CPU and Z170 motherboard.

Might be a bit above your budget, but worth to spend a little extra.

Saved some money on getting a cheaper HDD, to get a 6600k and a z170 mobo. Otherwise, I think the parts should work fine.

Hey Man thanks for looking into this!

We went with this exact build and my friend was extremely happy with the results.
