I seem to remember you should do a backup of the game, and then restore it onto the other drive, but I can't remember fully.

Main Gaming Rig:

Spoiler

Core i7-4770, Cryorig M9i Cooler, ASUS B85M GAMER, 8GB HyperX Fury Red 2x4GB 1866MHz, KFA2 GTX 970 Infin8 Black Edition "4GB", 1TB Seagate SSHD, 256GB Crucial m4 SSD, 60GB Corsair SSD for Kerbal and game servers, Thermaltake Core V21 Case, EVGA SuperNOVA 650W G2.

Secondary PC:

Spoiler

i5-2500k OCed, Raijintek Themis, Intel Z77GA-70K, 8GB HyperX Genesis in grey, GTX 750 Ti, Gamemax Falcon case.

You should be able to reinstall the game on the SSD. Are the mods supported by the game? You might have some trouble if not.

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

Yeah, most games won't work anymore if you do that. You'd have to reinstall it, and just copy over files from the save folder(s).

It can be tricky since some games have save files scattered around the file system.

What game is it?

I'm assuming you already have a steam folder on the other drive yeah? okay so what you're gonna do, is you're gonna cut the game files from one folder to the other, then in steam you're gonna uninstall the game.  After that finishes, choose to install the game, then pick the location where you just dropped the game folder.  Steam will detect that its already installed.  Cheers!
