Finally Done with GF PC

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Db4TWX

I built this PC for my girlfriend and all she plays is mostly Overwatch, League, Tera, Garry's Mod, and a few other less hardware intensive games. She wants to start doing twitch streams and do youtube videos with me and a few of my friends. I was actually wondering how I did with this computer my budget was 1000$ USD and that was all I had since I said I was going to pay for it as is. Could I have done something different, could I have change a parts that made it better?

yeah so actually I only payed 180$ for the case, power supply, OS, CD drive, and Motherboard. The OS was practically free but everything else was full price.

For almost 1k? You should have put a way better cpu and gpu in there.

Oh ok. If you were to redo this, I'd say wait for the RX 470 (5% weaker than a 970 for $150~) and get a Xeon E3-1231v3 (an i7 at i5 prices) for her streams and whatnot.

Actually I quite the like the performance of the gtx 960 that I bought it is almost as powerful as the gtx 970 SSC that I have in my test bed. Honestly I was surprised to see tht it did better than the 970 in COD BO2

Haters gonna hate. I actually think its a great system and totally balanced. People need to realize that pcpartpicker is skewing the price. Who cares anyways, you have a g/f that likes to play pc games. You already win the internets.

you could've fit a rx 480 and a 4460/6500 if you were to actually look at your parts

well its not out yet and I already built so no I couldn't have. Also I thought because she isn't going to do anything very intensive why waist the money on an i5 because I almost bought an fx 8350 system

why get an i3 then if your budget is 1k....

I'm guessing best "bang for your buck" does not apply here?

You might as well just gotten a A10 APU with like a $400 budget

Im not here to say "hey your retarded at making builds" im here trying to say "hey you kinda wasted your money on that build" seeing in terms of preformance (gaming or not)

You're paying waaaay too much for that RAM... And please, get the non-ultimate version of Windows, most of the extra features are often unutilized.

I am not going for "band for the buck" I stated the games she plays above and her 1080p monitor runs at 75 FPS average on all of those games at max except TERA

Mark as Purchased the items you already bought, so people can understand you budget.

And an i3 to streaming games? AMD is better.

Slightly over $1,000. Can go below when picking a regular HDD. Went with a hybrid, for SSD performance and HDD capacity on a budget.

You said she want to start twitch streaming and YouTube so wouldn't a high-end processor like the 5820K benefit for her needs.

Besides, the moron here is you who bought already bought the parts before coming here to ask for a better build.

Higher end gpu = future proof, as in she can play more games in the years ahead before YOU will have to spend money again and get her a better card.
