GTX 970 or Radeon RX 480?

Guest

Should I get a GTX 970 now for $320 or wait for the RX 480 for $200 because it is rumored to have similar performance and I would prefer to save $120...

2 rx 480s (according to AMD) perform a little bit better than 1 gtx 1080 and nvidia said the gtx 1080 is faster than 2 gtx 980s in sli so if that scaled perfectly (which it never does) that means the rx 480 performs around the same as a gtx 980, so the rx 480 would be better than the gtx 970.

My Main PC:

CPUi5 3570k CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper T4 Motherboard: Asus p8z77-v pro  RAM: Crucial Balistic 2x4gb  GPU: Two PNY GTX 680's in SLI Case: Some rando Antec one  PSU: Thermaltake 1000w  Display: HP Elite Display 321i 23''  Storage: Samsung 840 Evo 128gb, Seagate Barracuda 1tb
