Upgrade CPU+Motherboard for $300 (US)

i currently have an AMD A10 5800k, and a GTX 950 from EVGA, I've been looking around and I'm wondering what i should get for $300 or under. Mainly use my pc for gaming, anything else is done on my laptop.

Current Build:

NOTES: Reason why i have an 850 WATT psu is cause my dad got rid of his old custom rig and didnt think about getting anything from it.

You already have a cooler, so overclock away. Also, 4x2GB is not a great solution, but I guess we can work with it. When/if you replace it, it would be wise to go for the faster 2133 DR3 stuff available.

Depends on the budget and pricing. There is no real world difference between 1333MHz Ram or 2133MHz. Sure if they are nearly the same price go for the higher one, else it does not matter.

You can most definitely get a 'Skylake' CPU + motherboard + RAM combo for $300.

If you want a full-sized ATX motherboard, while keeping the i5-6500 CPU, that will bring it up into the $312 range.

Full-sized ATX motherboard, and while staying within your $300 budget (drop one step, i5-6500 >> i5-6400) ?

now, would it be worth it to save more for the 6600k instead of the 6500? i would like to overclock a little and from what i know, it s not possible to overclock non-k cpus anymore.
