How to remove laptop stickers without leaving any residue

djdelarosa25

I have read forums regarding this and most of the people recommend "Goo Gone". Unfortunately, we don't have that in our country.

Can you suggest some other ways on how to remove these hideous laptop stickers without leaving the adhesive stuck?

In the UK we have a similar stuff called sticky stuff remover. You can also try a small amount of baby oil on a lint free cloth

Family is Everything ....But a fast pc with an SSD is NIce

99.99% isopropyl alcohol.

Either that or lighter fluid.

Do I use a hair blower to peel the sticker off first?

I just peel mine off then clean up the residue.

To remove the residue you can use alcohol or WD40 if you don't have any alcohol.

normally you can just peal them off and use some tissue to wipe off the glue, its never really that bad (8 years in retail removing stickers), normally you can just rub it with your finger

I remove all stickers, although I haven't had a laptop in a very long while.

heat up sticker briefly with a hair-drier. Then peel it quickly. Then wipe off remaining residue with alcohol quickly.

It's kindda subjective because laptops are much like our phones. Some people like to have cases on their phone while some like their phone naked. It's all about the personal preference of people.

A general trick to remove stickers, is to use oil (vegetable oil is fine).
.

Put a lot of oil around the sticker with a cotton swab (Q-Tip). If it is in paper the sticker, let the oil absorb in the paper, for several minutes. Then try and peal it off, and work the oil around the glue. The idea is that the glue mixes with the oil and is unable to bound. Then wipe clean, and use soapy water to wash it off.

Make sure that no liquid goes inside your laptop as you do this.

This is how do it, for all kind of stickers on a variety of objects.
