GTX 780ti VS GTX 950

I'm planning on ordering some parts for a friends computer and he's on a very slim budget. i just couldn't figure out what gpu to get him, should i get a gtx 780ti, 950, or something from the red team? the most fps for around $150 is best, TDP and power consumption is not an issue.

get the 1060 or 1050 the 1060 will probably be a 970 and 1050 a 960

Well, a 780Ti will outperform a 950 by a long way. If you can get one for $150, then go for a 780Ti.

780 Ti's go for about $200-$300

Also look at 750 Ti's they are great for budgets.

sorry, didnt realize that. i saw a couple floating around that were under $200 so i figured that was normal. but those posts are gone pretty quickly.

Well, 780Tis perform around the same as a Titan Black, so it's not surprising. 

Have a look at R9 380s or used R9 380X or 390s.

Yeah I wouldn't doubt it, a 780 Ti for under 200 is a great deal, just keep looking around. I'm pretty sure you can find one, but just make sure it's not a 780 they're selling.

bahh...even a GTX 780 is FAR more capable than a GTX 950:
