Brand newness has nothing to do with dead pixels, it's completely random.

But that looks like a stuck pixel to me, try some pixel unstucking tips.

1 pixel is not enough for warranty, normally it says like 5 or more.

This is not sound advice but if the pixel program doesn't work which it probably wont sometimes you can fix dead pixels by gently pressing down/ rubbing the affected area use toilet paper so you don't get finger prints all over your screen.

Dead pixels are black (completely off) and they rarely turn back on. Stuck pixels are showing a color and can come and go. There are programs and even youtube videos [epilepsy warning!] that can fix stuck pixels.

this one is pink , so it means i might be able to fix it right? ill try man thanks

Don't listen to the advice of people telling you to put pressure on your new screen. If its only a few weeks old and the pixel bothers you return it for another unit.

They don't hurt, but in my experience they don't fix the problem. They usually come back too. Red stuck pixels are the worst.

That's why I put a disclaimer telling you it's not a good idea which it's not that's not to say it doesn't work it does in some cases but like the guy said not worth trying on a brand new screen just learn to live with it or take it back. Most dead pixels are only noticeable against pure white and pure black images.

it just sucks =/ ill see what i can do with the warranty though , its just annoying that a brand new monitor is gonna stay defected like that

Usually if you just call the retailer and ask for a replacement they'll do that for you.

that means it's not a stuck pixel but rather 2 dead sub-pixels (green and blue ones)...
