Hello, so now I'm using Linux Mint and downloaded one game. Starting file is with .i686 format and I can't open it. Tried to make it executable through settings, when I click on executable it's doing undo. I tried to do it on Terminal, didn't work too. Tried to change permissions, it's undoing everything and it's only with my another patrition and I think it's NTFS format. Can you help me?

Sorry if my English is terrible :D

So you downloaded a 32bit game, and it won't open? And you tried making it executable, through the GUI and through the CLI and it didn't work. And then something about an NTFS partition? I need you to clarify a few things first. One, what game is it? Two, what kind of file is it (.deb, .run, ect)? Third, what do you mean about the NTFS partition, do you have a Windows dual boot set up or something?

Is the game from Steam or did you download it directly from the web? Also, uh... I've never heard of a .i686 file. A google search suggests the terminal to cd to the directory that the game is in, use chmod +x to make it executable, then type "./prisonarchitect.i686" or whatever the file is actually named. As for number three, why don't you just transfer those files to your Linux partition and then delete the NTFS partition?

I downloaded it directly from the web. I tried chmod +x and then "./" but it didin't work. I will try for number three.

Wait, is the game on the NTFS partition? You should definitely move it onto a Linux partition if it is. Sorry if I misunderstood this.

Yes, it is.

Get it onto the Linux partition and try it again. It should work.
