1. Is it worth to buy the AsRock Z97 Anniversary & The Pentium G3258 Clocked @ 3.2 GHz? AsRock claims, that you can overclock it to 4.2 GHz. (Has anyone even tried it?)

2. Can i pair the Z97 Ann. with some HyperX Fury 8GB Dual-Channel CL10 RAM @ 1600 MHz?

3. Are there 3.5 > 5.25 adapters existing?

It'll work just fine but you're better off getting a better cpu if you're paying for a z97 board.

4.2ghz is the bare minimum. It should be very easy to go much higher.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

Actually, in many places in the UK Its only £5 or £10 more, cheaper than most H and B Series boards.

A hyperthread is not a cpu core.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

A hyperthread is not a cpu core.

Core i3 is a dual core with HT, not a true quad like a Core i5, but the extra thread can fool games that refuses to run on a dual core.

Not sure what you mean by that last bit, on my G3258 (Which I absolutely hated in triple a games) In those games it is very easy to run, where single core is more important, it is when it coems to having a stream or ideo running it gets slow.

99% of users who gets the G3258 is for the unlock multiplier. If the G3258 is like any other Pentium. Do you think anyone will even bother to get one? If has the same amount of cache as any other Pentium, lacks turbo boost, and official ram is only up to 1066MHz, but the ram shouldn't matter since Z97 boards supports XMP so your ram can go beyond the official specs.

Pentium G3258 is a toy and is not a cpu anyone right now should get, especially when they're building it for games.

You know how to OC, well then congrats.

I meant, those with a plate in front? Thanks anyway.

Unless you want a hot swap bay then the one that came with your case will still fit after the drive is installed.
