Driver of r9 390 is a crap?? or good like nvdia's??

AMD drivers are meh in my opinion.

They get the job done, but I like nvidias way more.

"good like nvidia's". Lol. Funny story. All the crashes in AAA games on reddit I've seen recently were Nvidia drivers

Speaking of, we should keep a log of the problems they´ve been having recently. That way we can finally get rid of that stupid damned reason.

Yet i've had practically no driver issue with AMD for some years now.

I didn´t have any issuses with AMD drivers either.

But I really dislike the new crimson driver. It just hides way to many settings somewhere.

I didn´t use NVIDIA drivers for some time to be honest, but the last time I used them I liked them way more.

Eh, I actually like the new Crimson driver. You gotta dig around a bit to find where everything is, but as is with a good deal of things.

what do you mean by "driver"? if you mean the software like raptr, gaming evolved, geforce experience, etc then let me tell you one thing: just don't install it. those programs are completely useless, doesn't matter whether you have an amd or nvidia card. i have an r9 390 and all i installed from the CD was the graphics driver. that's it. none of that extra unnecessary bloatware that came with it. and everything runs perfectly fine. all the settings you might ever need are in the amd catalyst control thing.

but if by "driver" you mean the actual graphics driver then i don't really see how you can say it's either good or bad if it just works. it has never crashed on me or anything, and i've never had any weird low performance issues. everything works just as you'd expect from an R9 390. so i wouldn't call it bad. but there's really no reason to call it good either (same thing for nvidia). it simply does its job.

At first it's a tad confusing getting used to what is essentially a new UI. But it takes like 5 - 10 mins of dicking about with it to get the gist of it.

I know, I was able to find (most) settings within a short period of time.

But crimson feels way too "casual" or "mainstream" for me, if you know what I mean.

I don´t really want a shiny design, I want one that enables me to find anything I want easily. And I actually prefer the catalyst driver design (I am still using catalyst 14.12 :D )

Your reasoning is stupid. Upgrade your drivers or gtfo.

Nope. Every time it's done it I wasn't at my computer. Usually I get on after its been sitting for hours without being touched, I start a game and the clock is stuck at 450MHz. Only thing that fixes it maybe is reinstalling the driver.

If you could tell me what I'm doing to cause this I would love to know. :(

7850, currently on 16.4.2 beta, was on whatever the most recent stable was, don't remember. Reinstall for that didn't fix the problem so I just went to the latest beta which fixed it for now. This has been a problem for me on and off every single driver release this past year.
