Well from what we know now the 1070 will be $370. Its gonna depend on what Polaris gpu prices are. But since there will be new gpu's out and yours is also used id sell it for around $240.

Oh damn that's pretty cheap. Here in the PH the prices of brand new 970's are still around 300$ish.

So i can still sell it around 200-250$ish after the 1070's are released? Well if that's the case i think it still reasonable for me to sell it after pascal gets released :3. But i read something that i could just save my 970 and buy 1070 and use them in physx? how does that work?

I am actually looking to get a 970 but there are a dozen at least different models, EVGA seems to have the most variances. I want to keep up with games as they come out for next couple years and have DP and 4K. My question is: What are the critical numbers and areas to choose a sweet model?

If you want 4k the 970 is the last thing you want to buy. The 390 will be better but even then at 4k your gonna get around 30fps. Wait for Polaris/Pascul and then buy one of those.

Yep that's your best choice so it's only around a month wait for the 1070 that would cost around 350-400$ and 2weeks for the 1080 that would cost 600$ but still the performance in real time is still not yet sure until benchmarks are released.

I see we both have 4690Ks, mine is with an AsRock Z97M. I haven't overclocked, have you? Do you think it will be needed to help the 1070 in any manner? The 1080 is just too much

Yeah, I have overclocked it. But i only overclocked it at 4.1GHz at stock voltage considering that i have a kraken x61 i think it's still a low overclock but it's fine for me as i don't do works that needs that much CPU i only game. Well in terms of if it would help the 1070 that yet is to be known but i think the 4690k's would not be a bottleneck for the 1000series GPU.

Interesting, I am trying to stay away from investing in watercooler or AIOs. My high temps only from gaming too so just going to upgrade from a Gabriel to Dark Rock TF before I start OCing.

Hahaha, Yeah but to be honest i didn't pushed my OC that much cause it's really frickin hot here in the PH right now the temps would reach around atmosphere temps is around 45C in manila and i'm inm the province and it still hits 40C so i didn't pushed it that much. Yeah The Dark Rock TF is a really good cooler nice choice man.

Oh I see, we are still slaves to ambient air temps huh? I think I saw Linus do some cool stuff with a refrigerant system. Like a minature one just for PCs, but I haven't found it again yet. It actually showed the frost form on the CPU touch plate-literally REALLY COOL lmao
