I just put in my new CPU and booted up. Everything seems to be fine, but when I go into my system in the control panel it still shows up that my processor is my old processor. Is there anything I should do to fix this, or is this even a problem?

Also when I go to my device manager, under "processors" it is my old processor listed.

different number cpu and all......might seem stupid, but did you double check the new cpu is in the socket? Had a friend mix them up swapping out once and it drove him crazy until I pointed out the new one was in the box...

I highly doubt this is even a problem if you currenly have the new processor and it boots up.

Either way, does your old processor processor show up in the BIOS?

I'm not sure, but when I open my CAM software, it shows up as the new processor.
