Sooo, while Linus was busy praising the new Razer stove, he apparently neglected to mention that it runs around 85-90*C under max load? Is it me or is a 15W CPU and iGPU combo supposed to run at LEAST bellow 80*C? Correct me if I'm wrong. The Mods on the Razer forums are hard at work on bullshitting people that Razer has redesigned solder to magically function above 100*C without damage but I'm not exactly inclined to believe that. the goal of this thread is to bring up something everyone seems to neglect - that the Razer Oven Extra Crispy Edition will cook itself to death as soon as a bit of dust starts accumulating on the heatsink.

Can I hit the mods in their face?

You can basically make scrambled eggs on a razer laptop.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Just found this article which is pretty interesting...

Maybe when the mods on razer's forum claim that they use "special thermal paste", maybe it's correct after all...

They use a weird form of mix of random pastes - someone discovered it in that thread. But that's the TIM, not the heatpipes which everyone is bragging about - and it still runs at 90*C

Still...you can see razer's staff talking how the guy shouldn't have underestimated Razer's engineering...

And how they have " top thermals experts on the planet and our thermals designs are usually at least a generation or two ahead of the rest."...well if you can't even get a single 15W CPU to run nice and cool then...you really aren't...
