OK so I'm guessing this is related to your ghetto shield project? 12 inches is huge bro. That's almost the size of the iPad pro. Hardly portable IMHO.

lol it is, but now that I've thought about this I like the idea of a semi portable streaming device, you could like set it on a table and stuff, not exactly a shield portable, but it's still a cool idea.

How about a tablet style device with a kickstand on the back kinda like a surface pro with a Microsoft receiver built in for a controller?

You can get displays and random electronic bits from China. It's pretty much the only place you can find them. I trust and have used DX.com and banggood.com(the latter has actually been reviewed by Linus) but prepare to wait quite a while for delivery. Took about 2.5 months for me to receive my stuff. Although a good portion of that was the south African postal service so you should get it much faster.

We don't have those here so I'm not sure if they would have the stuff you would need. But certainly check it out. Get as much as possible locally.

Here in the states, there's lots of little electronics shops, I can probably get most of the stuff locally.
