Basically, what the title says. I have 2 requests, since I will probably get a summer job and I want to know what the best option would be.
1. A gaming computer for 4k gaming, with some "future-proofing" concerns.  The budget includes the monitor. If possible, a 500GB SSD would be nice and finally, I want to avoid Nvidia, by the way, so if possible, r9 furies (x) would be nice.
2. A gaming computer but for 1440p instead. I think that for this the budget will be lower since it can have 2 r9 390(x)s  and what I said above applies. 1440p 120hz would be nice as an option. Also, if not for 1440p, triple 1080p screen suggestions!
Thank you for your time.
Almost forgot: I will be overclocking the CPU quite a bit so throw in a good CPU cooler and some really nice case fans!
Budget: 2000-2300 EUR max and I live in Greece, but I will take anything from Europe too, assuming shipping won't destroy me.

I have a Fury Nitro and an FX 8320E. Screw my life?

for 4K, i would only suggest dual 980Ti and nothing else for this generation

as fury series lacks the amount of vram and r9 390x in CF cant push all (well-optimized) games at 4k with decent settings and decent fps

actually, from what I've researched, 4GB of HBM does really well for 4k and never fails.

Only Nvidia's. Amd Polaris will not feature a truly high end card, and as I said, I want to avoid Nvidia.

well maybe amd's new cards will offer better performance than the furies, who knows

but if you're fixated on the furies then i wont stop you lol

I am not an AMD fanboy, rather I hate Nvidia's business practices, so buying an nvidia card and then bashing them would be totally hypocritical on me.

Man 4k is overkill and its not going to be future soon.

If there is future it is 1440p.

Gimme second will update this and show you with what i am going.

Update: The price on all thoose on germany was around 2000Euro maybe +/- 50 not sure, too lazy to check and tell you exact price of the components right now. I got some of the parts like GPU, SSD, Case, Cooler and waiting for others to arrive.

CPU: i7-5820k
CPU Cooler: x61 Kraken
Mobo: X99A SLI
RAM: G.Skill 4x4 3200mhz Dims
HDD: 1TB WD Blue 7200rpm
GPU: Evga 980Ti Hybrid
SSD: Samsung 850Evo 500GB
PSU: Evga Supernova GQ  850W

Case: NZXT H440

This is what my build will look like and i plan getting one of those monitors:

• ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q > 144hz > IPS > 4ms > G-Sync > 27inch > 845€
• Acer Predator XB271HU > 144hz > IPS > 4ms > G-Sync > 27inch > 790€

This is best of build you can do with 2000Euro or atlest for me, monitor not included. If someone wants to criticize i can explain exactly why i picked up every single part like this.

Best of luck and happy building!

im not saying you are one, im merely stating facts based on your needs lol

you said you're avoiding nvidia so i never brought them up again after stating that only dual 980ti can provide a decent experience in 4K

but yes, im hating on nvidia's business practices, but ill still be shopping based on price/performance

Alright, I respect that. What would you recommend for 1440p 120HZ?

1440p 120hz can be done with r9 390(X) in CF

just make sure you can tame those beasts' temps

but i highly suggest you wait unless you're in a rush

it never hurts to wait anyway, its highly unlikely the current gpu prices will rise if new gpu comes out

so you'll have more options then + prices may drop a couple bucks :P

I was thinking of buying an r9 380 and sticking with my current monitor (1680x1050) and getting Vega and Zen+ since they are probably coming out at the same time and making the PC I have right now a secondary for lan parties. But that will take too long, which is why I want any alternatives that will come sooner.

No.

You can aswell wait for new series GPU's to arrive and 980Ti price suppose to drop even more... i picked mine for 690Euro.

980Ti is top of class GPU i dont really recommend Radeon over Nvidia.... it depends you know... maybe there are some cases, BUT if you want top of class build for 2000Euro this is best thing you can get.

Have a great night!

Even though your build is top class, I could never bring myself to purchase an nvidia card. I still appreciate the help, though.
