Getting rid of that for new members is too much work for very little functionality. Getting rid of it altogether is stupid.

yeah, there isn't really a choice to do so as all members have a template.

so whether a new or existing member everybody has the same placard. this is for tracking of previous discussion participation after the forum update. as to the suggestion of the replace phraseology, doubtful on the hints submitted.

I don't know why you guys are saying it's hard to implement, it's literally just one if statement.

@LynxThe1st

I've made it so that if a member has 0 old reputation that this row will no longer be visible on their profile. (Effective after the next update.) I definitely don't think we should remove it for everyone though.

It just looks so...weird....

likesold.png

it doesn't feel right having a 0 there...it's like there's a hole within me, my heart has not been fulfilled! ;-;

it needs to be filled with 'how many posts with the word fuck or shit?'

likesold.jpg

I would probably have infinity

any ways

lets get to the actual post yes?

older members, keep their likes please, they worked for it thus they deserve it!

members who have joined after the new forums update, and having no old likes, should have it removed because it just doesn't look like it belongs there especially if they have no likes from the older forums and it looks weird if someone didn't know about the old forums

this isn't a big update/need or such but I'm just sayin'

also I don't think this should be applied to people with less than a low (25 or something?) number of posts since they are probably here to ask one question and go and it would probably waste time but eh, like you would not believe the amount of members like that:

thanks

yours dearly

I never said it was hard. I said it was too much effort for too little functionality :P which I will maintain that one if statement is too much work for too little functionality.

All joking aside: that's my stock answer when people suggest stuff that has somewhat little functionality.

While i understand the viewpoint, pretty much any software.

Especially something with a sensible interface, is essentially

a massive pile of little things that altogether makes up something

sensible. Especially for something like a forum the little things

matter.

Any bigger endeavors likely take up a ill proportionate amount

of time to execute compared to the added functionality,

compared to something like this. It makes sense, makes things

cleaner and was apparently easy to do, so why not.

Just my humble opinion, all of this is mostly situation dependent.

Fair enough. Also I know little-to-nothing about web development, it is the field that bores me most, so I didn't know whether it was as simple as an if statement or going to be very annoying. I've heard things that sound relatively easy, and just plain aren't. I made the assumption that this was probably one of them. I was wrong. Probably should have said nothing :P my bad!
