Probably placed them at a high price so no one would buy them yet?

Idk, those prices are high but they're not so far from the expected prices that they're unbelievable.  If those are the true prices and the specs we've seen are correct, then those processors should fail tremendously.

Those prices seem to be about in line with the current Haswell-E pricing, being slightly more expensive than the current chips.

Just saw the USD, I thought this was in Canadian because it was NCIX.

Those prices are absurd, almost double the speculated prices. Those prices are more than a pre-order price should be yet less than a mark-up so that nobody will try to buy would be.

Yeah. I'm expecting higher, due to Skylake being annoyingly expensive right out of the gate, but this is ridiculous.

Really? How long would these pre-order prices remain? Who would actually be willing to pre-order these at those prices?

IMO best current performance/price CPU is the 5820k and I was hoping for a reasonably priced upgrade out of Broadwell-E.  If Broadwell-E follows Broadwell's precedent then these CPU's are gonna be overpriced junk.
