144hz acer gn246hl or lg 25" ultrawide monitor?

I am debating if i should get a 144hz monitor or a widescreen monitor for my setup i mainly use my setup  for gaming and if i go with the widescreen route i can have a setup similar to randomfrankp with the two monitors stacked on top eachother but the 21:9 aspect ratio cuts off some older games and causes black bars on the sides and it has 5ms response time so its not meant for ganing but it does look nice. If i go with the 144hz path i might do a single monitor setup or eventually a multiple monitor setup in the future. So the widescreen will look cool but not practical for gaming and the 144hz monitor is great for gaming and will look decent

Nobody can tell if you are not saying what you are going to do on your setup and what is your setup exactly. Ultrawide IPS panel with good picture quality on 60/75 Hz resfresh rate and 16:9 low end TN panel with very poor picture quality but 144 Hz refresh rate are two exact opposite solutions, like night and day, nobody can tell what is better choice if you don't specify your needs and what you are going to do on this monitor and on what setup.

All you can get by asking such imprecise questions are imprecise answers that lack any substantial value like those two above.
