I'm looking to buy a mechanical keyboard!

I have had a thermaltake challenger prime for a while now, and I am looking to swap to mechanical keyboards, any recommendations?

There are plenty of options below $150 if you're willing to settle for switches NOT from the big two (or three), being Cherry, Gateron and maybe Greetech?

Been using this for the past few months with Kailh Browns and RGB, not bad at all.

For 150 you can get quite a bit with mx switches.

Corsair k65/k70

Cm storm quickfire rapid or rapid-i

Logitech g710/710+

Pok3r (several of them)

Alot from Ducky

Pretty sure the G.skill Km780 is about that price

And lastly something from max keyboards

Plenty more outside of that but those were the ones i can think of now. All with Cherry mx switches.

I'd say something from ducky if you don't really need all the gaming centric features. I would think the ducky products are damn durable, high quality and a good choice. I got the ducky mini cuz was on sale (i got it for about 54 us dollars) and i am very happy with it so far, i don't miss the missing 40% at all. Try to avoid kailh switches if you have such a adequate budget, my tesoro excalibur spectrum had problems with the switches

i have had the tesoro excalibur spectrum for a month as my first mechanical keyboard, i found the space bar to be too steep and it cuts into my thumb when i press it, the keyboard is too thick for me causing my wrists to strain upwards and the unalterable caps lock, gaming mode and num lock light that is only available is blue is i think unacceptable in an rgb keyboard. Also my some of the switches get stuck for a split second when bottoming out.
