performance wise they are very close. In many cases the 6950 does better in synthetics while the 570 does better in games. If you can find a 6990 somewhere that might be a worthy upgrade.

The 570 is better in DX11 because of stronger tesselation performance :)

 

If you disable tessellation + unlock the HD6970 shader count the 6970 is faster
