How do you guys deal with fps drop?

For me a slight fps drop cause annoying mini stutter/freeze when gaming. It can be as little as from 60 to 51 or 70 to 63 or something. How do you guys deal with it?

to what? The thing is i get normally 80 fps+ on most games i play but the drops cause stutter. If i lower the settings i get higher fps but that don't help the drops/stutters at all.

Hmm, I see your issue.

Apart from lowering settings to a low enough level that you don't get the fps drops, or upgrading your hardware, there's not really a lot you can do.

Hopefully in the next few years with VR becoming a big deal, they'll be an adaptive settings option or something similar such that you can keep your frame rate constant, and the settings will adjust dynamically in game, depending on the intensity of the scene.

Alternatively, a G-sync or freesync monitor would probably solve your problem (only just thought of that, lol) by forcing your monitor refresh rate to match your game's frame rate. This should eliminate any stuttering.

Turn off nvidia "features" and it work (amd) Nah just lower the settings.

Yeah there was a thread on reddit recently where a user found by disabling shadowplay his fps went up, i'll see if I can find it.

What games are you having the drops in? Some online games have their framerates tied to the servers. Depending on what the server is doing, you could have frame rate drops. Aside from lowering your settings or upgrading hardware, just deal with it. If frame rate drops are your biggest concern/worry in your life, consider yourself lucky.

fps drop is not, the stutter is what i can't live with. Most games btw, Arma 3, Rainbow 6 siege, Insurgency, Hitman

What is your current rig? Are your games on an SSD or HDD? Do you have other things going on in the background while you're gaming? Is your card overclocked? If it is, are you sure it's stable? There's so many variables that could be causing the game to stutter that you can't pinpoint one. It could just be some wonky code or something in the games themselves. I have a 3GB 780, the only time it stutters is in my pretty heavily modded Skyrim (and Star Citizen, but that doesn't really count yet). Nearly every other game I play I can run 1080 at ultra and easily keep 60fps. As someone else mentioned, a V-sync or FreeSync panel could help, but otherwise stop whining and deal with it.

Nothing is OC, games this happens in are insurgency, arma 3, dark soul 3, hitman 2016 and so on. 

I've also done alot like resetting window, updating/rolling back drivers, (had a fx 6300 before then upgraded to i5 4460 but still the problem still occur, even though it's less now).

vsync it at 30 fps as long as it does not drop below 24 your fine

Your FPS drops has nothing to do with the stuttering. Most will only notice stuttering when the game falls way below 30FPS. For your system, it's something else. Update your motherboard bios and all drivers like chipset and SATA controller. What mode is your SATA running on, ACHI or IDE? IDE, then you'll have to change that to ACHI. Some registry values need to be modified so you won't have to reinstall the entire OS.

As weird as it may be, some have found out their stuttering was caused by their keyboard and mouse. Replacing them has fix the problem.  Not sure if that will fix it for you.  Logitech has a cheap keyboard and mouse combo for $10 bucks. Don't have $ to spend, then borrow from friend or another one from one of the other computers that you might have.

For me personally, when I lag. I lag like hell, so I end up waiting around 2 minutes for my Computer to catch up. I just sit there and wait it out. Playing games on a school laptop is such fun ;-;
