Google Chrome lags and stutters on YouTube Videos

Hello!

 

I'm having a bad problem with Chrome lately. Every since I moved from Windows 7 to windows 10 Pro, I've had no end of FPS loss in Chrome. I put Edge and chrome together and took some time to sync a video in each. The problem is with chrome, as video remains smooth in edge. I'v updated drivers and so on. I don't knwo what the problem is and it seems no one else can fix it. google, you're useless when you mark everything from 2014.

 

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I would do a clean install (recommended by @Enderman) also I would take a look at this video.

 

If after this it still stutters, you might want to check if your cpu or ram is up to the task.

Hardware acceleration is enabled by default in Chrome, but check that it is on anyway.

yeah, well you should do a clean install the proper way and these issues wont happen

if reinstalling chrome doesnt fix it, then a clean install of windows is probably the only thing that will

 

this is why you do not upgrade, always do a clean install

I can't do that.... I don't have a disc. I don't have a product key or anything either! ;~; That's why I upgraded! I lost my sticker. I also can't select Pro on the tool. It doesn't show up.

you currently wave windows 10 installed, so you dont need a key to reinstall

and you dont need a disk either, you just need a 4GB+ USB drive

you should be able to select windows 10 pro, idk why its not showing up for you

not if you move them to a secondary drive first

But video works fine on Edge. Its chrome being the problem. Why do I need to do this?

because clearly the windows upgrade has messed up chrome

 

windows upgrade process sucks, it does a lot of things wrong

all kinds of problems happen to people after upgrading to windows 10 because they didnt take the time to properly clean install

If you're sure... IMGBurn is verifying the disc. It ignored my USB drive.

This isn't going to work. The disc I burned it to kept asking for drivers, and it said online the image was corrupt. It doesn't detect my 8GB flash drive, so I don't know what to do with it anymore.

i have no idea how a disk can ask for drivers or how an online tool can tell you an image is corrupt...

 

are you sure you know what you're doing?

 

also a flash drive needs to be made bootable before you put an ISO on it btw

I don't have a CLUE what I'm doing. I just want shit to work right.

...Please let someone else help me. I've been using that since the beginning. IT WONT LET ME MAKE A USB WITH MY FLASH DRIVE. IT IGNORES ITS EXISTENCE. If you won't read what I am saying, then stop pretending to help me!

As I mentioned earlier, you need to make the USB bootable first...

You caused this by upgrading windows instead of doing a clean install the proper way. Have a nice day.

After tinkering and looking around, while dealing with someone forgetting they're talking to a newbie PC user, I'll continue on my own. I don't like jerks. I'm just going to use Rufus, like my friend just told me to.
