GPU To Go With Xeon x5460

RyanMacRocks

Creating a semi-ghetto scrapyard wars type PC for my friend. Bought a socket 775 motherboard and used the 771 to 775 mod to put a Xeon x5460 in it. Anyways, got scammed on Craigslist (bought a broken q9300 and motherboard) and lost $40 so my budget is a little tighter now. Any ideas for a GPU around the $150-$180 range? It can be used, new, or refurbished. Pretty much nothing on Craigslist near me but a few GTX 580s that people are asking $300 for on Craigslist (lol wtf). Anyway, I was thinking maybe a 750 Ti, 950 (beats the 370 for pretty much the same price), 960 (probably not cuz 380), or 380. This is my friend's first gaming PC and he will be using it mostly for GTA V, and some FPS games like Battlefield/CS:GO/COD. I would love to find a good deal but I'm not seeing anything worthwhile right now so I figured I'd turn to you guys.

I bought my personal 7970 for $85, so maybe my expectations for getting a really good used GPU are too high now lol. Also keep in mind I know a lot about hardware so you don't need to explain everything.

Specs:

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L $40

Xeon x5460 $31

8 GB DDR2 kit $7 (thanks to a fellow forum member I only had to pay shipping for him to send it to me) :D

Hyper 212 EVO $9 (traded for a friend and gave him a stock heatsink)

160 GB HDD (already owned)

Antec 500 Watt Power Supply $30

Random Pentium 4 era Case $10

Edit: He says he wants to use Premier Pro as well (he currently edits using FCPX on a Macbook Pro 2011), I have no idea how well Premier would run on an older quad core as I have never used it, so if there is a particular manufacturer (AMD or Nvidea) that works better with Premier (if it will even run decently with this processor) let me know.

I can't speak for all the gpu's out there in that price range, but I do have my gta 5 settings dialed in very nicely for a really great looking game in 1080@60fps with my gtx 960.
