What anime should I watch next ?

Ok I'm very new to the anime world and I think I'm kinda stuck in it. My 1st show ever was Death Note, which I finished watching about 1 week ago. And the 2nd one is Attack on Titan and I'm waiting for season 2 like everybody. So.......ummm.......what next? Can somebody give me like their favorite list of all time ? I heard a lot about Fullmetal Alchemist and maybe I'll watch that next but I'm afraid it won't last too long since I'm kinda addicted to any show I watch and I won't even sleep. I prefer any show that is completed since I HATE waiting. I'm hoping to see a lot of lists for suggestion in the comment 9_9;)

Season one of it is completed, Which has a pretty solid ending. I think that Season 2 is scheduled to start later this year. And you can watch the anime online here.

All bolded stuff is stuff that people wouldn't call anime (but actual is) that are really good shows despite it. Stuff that have * next to them are ongoing anime. :) But I hope you give even the ones ongoing a chance, such as Seven Deadly Sins and Hunter x Hunter, as they are amazing.

I want to get into it but it is just too long, and the manga's art style hurts my eyes. I remember watching until the sand princess season (dub) and quitting. lol One day, I suppose. And HxH has so many amazing fights in it. The best part about it is that it isn't always about sheer power...gotta love the thinking that goes behind this series. :)

So... I recommend dubs for several shows. Code Geass, FMA / FMA:B, Cowboy Bebop (yes, really)... But One Piece has the WORST DUB OF ALL TIME.

 

YES! Hence me loving that one specific fight mentioned in the spoiler box. That fight was art in motion.

Ah alright. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Code Geass (ignore akito), Eureka Seven (ignore the second season bullshit), Spice and Wolf never really finishes, but it's still worth watching, Naruto is kinda done. There is a side series. Gurren Lagann. Now.

Since you liked Death Note, I'd give Heaven's Memo Pad a go. I watched it recently myself. Short (12 episodes), yet it's a series that makes you use your brain. The funny moments are funny, the sombering moments quite so. The only glaring flaw I could think of aside from length is the 1st episode is a bit difficult to follow.

 

For something that is on the cheerful side, Cardcaptor Sakura tops my list. Excellent series. Characters are pretty easy to relate to, and though it's a Magical Girl series, much of the emphasis is placed on the protagonist's "normal" life.

 

Aside from these, many of the ones already mentioned are definitely excellent.

I assure you I do not have anything backwards. Anime is just an abbreviation of "animation", and refers to any and all animation (term is used by those in Japan). It is only westerners that somehow believe "anime" refers to Japanese animation only.

 

And clearly Cory in the House can logically compare to animated features... -_-

while I cant disagree with that I still wouldn't call them anime.

 

Also can't really disagree with them as a recommendation I have watched most of them at somepoint although I'm not sure I saw much of Spectacular Spider-man or Young Justice

If the word's origin and definition just means animation though how can any of what I suggested not be anime? Not even the Japanese accept this, and the word comes from them (or French, I suppose, if that's the theory you wanna take). They call cartoons here "anime" as well.

 

Oh, you need to watch the two. They are brilliant shows. :)
