Hello linus thech tips forums! I am somewhat new to the PC community and am looking for some support on buildng my rig. I am aming for sub $70 U.S. with at least an intell i5. I have assembled this list on PCPP and have been looking at every possible config (an understatemnt) to get good gaming performence as well as the ability to do some small work with 3d programs and game creation utilities. i think that this will be a good setup overall but would love any advice. If you want to PLEASE post your PC so all of the new people like me can get an idea of what to do.

Do NOT get Windows from a grey market like /r/softwareswap, G2A, or Kinguin. it's against TOS/EULA and if you think about it, immoral (most people won't think about it). Also, skip the i5-6400. The 6500 has much higher clock speed for only $10-15 more. It's definitely worth it.

I am just curios, but what benefits does skylake have over haswell? I now it is a 14nm architecture but how does that afect general performance?
