How to have OS X El Capitan on a Macbook Pro with recently replaced storage

Hi, so i own a Mid 2012 Macbook Pro 13" and the hard drive recently crashed so i am going to be putting a 480gb SSD in it and upgrading from 4 to 16 GB of RAM, but my question is how would i put fresh copy of OS X El Capitan on it??

You will be required to prep some installation media via a USB and a copy of El Capitan which is free on the app store. HERE should have all the details. Cheers hope it all works out!

What it listst here requires you to have another mac which i don't have @bradmonsterdo you now of of any other way i could do it?

You can install mac os x in virtualbox or vmware in any of these OSs linux, windows or mac. Or you can download preinstalled mac os x image for virtualbox or vmware, then you can download El capitan 10.11.4 from app store in your virtual mac os x and make bootable El capitan USB and then install on your macbook.

I did same thing, just i installed it on HP probook 4540s (this is legend laptop for hackintosh)

Computer users fall into two groups:
those that do backups
those that have never had a hard drive fail.
