Im trying to use a Linksys WRT54GS as an access point for pfSense using this: https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Use_an_existing_wireless_router_with_pfSense and I think I failed last time. Can someone walk me through in more detail please?

Do you already have DD-WRT installed on the WRT54GS?

If so, you'll need to do as the document says that you linked to.

Basically you're disabling the router from handing out IP addresses, but leaving the wireless on.

Clients connect and authenticate with the router, which then passes DHCP requests through to your pfSense box.

Gimme a holler if you're stuck.
