Both these companies will launch their latest architecture based graphics card in couple of months. However as of now AMD is leading in Direct-X 12 performance where as Nvidia is lagging. Also AMD achieving significant performance gain using Async compute.

So, the future of AMD looks better than Nvidia I guess. What you guys thinks about this? Which 1 will be the better buy out of these?

I'm sorry but this kind of speculation is pointless until the cards are released and we have accurate benchmark data with working drivers. Until then we might as well say Matrox are gonna kick Nvidia and AMDs ass with their new RT X1000.

If the previous gens are anything to go by, AMD will likely have the edge in the mid range, and nvidia will likely have the top performing card. This is pure speculation, but fits the pattern that we've seen over the last few gens.

a "490x" v "1080" wouldn't even be an accurate comparison since the "1080" isn't the highest end consumer card NVIDIA will offer

Give me a sec, let me consult me crystal ball here...

Polaris 11 is looking to be the budget and laptop parts. Polaris 10 should be going against 1070/1080 and Vega is against big Pascal.

I am...

300 series includes R5-350-R9-390x/nano then Fury, Fury X

Then 900 series includes GTX950-GTX980Ti then Titan X

What? 980 ti is a cut down titan x. Besides that, the name is not what matters, the price and performance does. You're just making up arbitrary parameters.
