Yahoo Mail issues

Hi,

Today the mail app on my pc told my that my yahoo mail details are out of date and that I needed to renter  my password, so I did. About five minutes later the same notification appeared and I rendered my password again in case I misspelt it the first time and then again a few minute later the same notification appeared. I was getting annoyed at this point so I went to the yahoo website and tried to login there and I got the message "Sorry, we were unable to proceed with your request. Please try again." I tried a few different passwords but I got the same message each time. then I thought maybe the passwords entered were incorrect, so I tried to reset the password but when I entered my email in the recovery page I got a slightly different message "Sorry, we were unable to proceed with your request. Please try again Later". I then went to the help page (which was no help at all) it told me too do a few thing like clear my cache, cookies and try a different browser but I still got the same message. I started searching the issue and I have found a few people with the same issue (posts linked below). I looked at the topics were posted and there were both today within a few hours of each other. I'm not sure if yahoo is have a problem with their servers or something today but if anyone has had this problem or has any advise it would be greatly appreciated.
