Can I SLI?

Hey friends. Just wanted to get the assurance of others before spending a handful of money. 

Might as well post my whole rig. 

600w psu

MSI Gaming z97 gaming 5

intel 4690k

Windows 8 64bit. 

Evga gtx 960 2gb ssc

I don't think that your PSU can handle two GPU's, 600 watts is a bit too little

Sli should be fine. 600w would be hitting it pretty close, my 970's run below that so if you can go bigger to like 750 you should be sweet. If i was you buy a 970 now and get another later, buying 2x 960s are a waste imo.

600W is enough for 960 SLI but a single more powerful card is always better. @CasualNick What PSU specifically?

The 960 is a waste of money, take 950/970.

A good 600W would be fine but the lack of model mentioned worries me as a mediocre 600W PSU such as the Corsair CS, EVGA G1/B1 or a flat out bad PSU such as the Corsair CX/VS and EVGA W1 might cause a lot of issues. SLI in itself also causes issues under certain circumstances so I'd say either get a 970/390 or wait for Pascal/Polaris

Im not certain the exact model. But it's a thermal take 600w.

600 is more than enough for 2 960s. No problem.

You should either look at getting one second hand or waiting. There is a huge difference between the 970 and 960 and you would be much better off saving an extra $100 than regretting it in the future.

Nooooo. Thermalfake PSUs are NOT a good option. Replace

1) 600W is enough for mid-range card SLI, but it have to be a reliable psu

2) i never recommend sli mid-range card unless you already own one and you can get a second one for a good deal

You do know that the TR2 are the most negatively-received units in all of TT's history, right? Ask @STRMfrmXMN and @Aniallation

Yes, but you cannot state that all of their power supplies are terrible by default. It's just not true.

Depends on the 600W. A single 970 or 390 is a much better way to spend your money however.

It's been awhile since I looked in-depth into every TR2 unit but I recall the higher wattage units to be spectacular. Don't know why TT decided to put them in with the famously terrible TR2 series but they did. Still don't like Thermaltake as a company but they're the only decent option in some parts of the world so you gotta keep that in mind.
