V-Moda Crossfade LP vs LP2

Is there an upgrade from LP to LP2? There is a $5 difference on Amazon currently, but the issue is that I really don't like the single matte black colour of the LP2 and want the white colour of the LP's. Does the LP2 sound much better than LP or is it another release from V-Moda for more sales. I wouldn't trade off the colour for very slight difference in audio quality and most of the songs i listen to are in the Pop genre, not hardcore electronic, dubstep, rock etc, so i do want some good vocals.
